When a user is assigned a provider under Manage Security > Users > User Accounts (Provider field), they automatically have the ability to create prescriptions. This could be a liability if non-prescribers generate prescriptions.
Current workaround is to disable the permissions at a user level within the templates under "Prescribe For" by clicking in the empty field under Prescribe For until a small yellow star appears next to each provider listed in the template.
- Manage Security > Users > Provider Permissions tab
- Open the template for the site(s) and select the unchecked "prescribe for" until the selection is unchecked with a small yellow start.
- Repeat these steps for each provider listed in the template
This is very time consuming when we have hundreds of users. This should be an option under Feature Access to grant or deny access to generating prescriptions.
