During a weekly meeting with BCFHT, they inquired if there was a possibility for enhancements within the EMR. When searching for patients who may have similar first names, last names and DOB's, they were wondering if there was a possibility of Accuro having an extra safety feature or added tool which would help alert the user/provider that there are similar names maybe by italicizing or displaying this in a distinct color which would add as an extra layer of safety in terms of updating or entering information into the incorrect patients chart who does have similar information.
A way the EMR can flag patients with same first name, last name or DOB.
