Christina from Credit Valley Family Health Team mentioned that the doctors frequently use eConsult to send in referrals to their doctors instead of faxes and they attach the patients lab results from the Vendor and referral letter while sending messages through eConsult.
Sometimes they also send this information to the Patient through Health mail.
What they have noticed is that if a lab has 17 test results when attempting to attach the lab file in eConsult or Patient Messaging they have encountered that the test results have to be attached individually as 17 individual pdf attachments instead of a 2 page document available in the Virtual Chart.
