In anesthesia claims the user enters the start and end time but the anes unit
shows as 1. The fee is correct and MH sees the anes units correctly (have
called Manitoba health to confirm).
It would be useful to show the actual number of anes units
When the claim goes over the midnight hour tariff 5556 calculates correctly
and tariff 5557 calculates correctly. Manitoba Health however calculates the after hours
premium as one entity and the second aft er hour premium is paid x1 unit
less than the calculation. The system does not allow a manual override
unless the “time based” option is on.
the anes units would show it would be a reminder that the units are not
calculating the same number of units and require a manual override. Often
the claim gets submitted and rejected for incorrect anes units
